Apartment Renovation in Palaio Faliro

Realigned with the present, without forgetting its past

Completion: February 03, 2025
Project Type: Renovation, 140m2
Architects: Panagiotis Papanikolaou

In collaboration with architect Panagiotis Papanikolaou, EPIKYKLOS completed the renovation of a 140 sqm 1970s apartment in Palaio Faliro. The project’s main objective was to align the space with modern living requirements while keeping its timeless characteristics intact.

This was primarily achieved by creating a unified living space that invites more natural light and facilitates more comfortable movement. At the same time, the kitchen remained autonomous, separated by a metal structure with glass panels. In terms of materials, the white marble from Volakas, used in the kitchen and baths, was selected to complement the existing dark marble floor, which was maintained and expanded as a reference to the 70s. The apartment’s past is also manifested through the color palette and the golden details in the kitchen and baths, while the deep blue used in the bath furniture is a stylistic hint at the marine element of the Faliro area.
