Through the ages, architecture has been one of the most essential ways for humans to express their ideas, needs, and culture. From the first structures to contemporary architectural creations, every era has left its own mark on space and history.
That course is highlighted by the major exhibition “Architecture in Greece – The mysterious language of form,” presented from October 17, 2026 to January 17, 2027 at the Hellenic Parliament’s Former Public Tobacco Factory venue, with EPIKYKLOS offering its support as Creative Partner.
A journey through the history of Greek architecture
The exhibition attempts a comprehensive reading of architectural creation across the Greek space, from prehistoric times until today, highighting its relationship with history, art, culture and the natural environment.
The forms and influences that have shaped the country’s architectural identity are presented through architectural drawings, models, photographs, works of art, archival and audiovisual material.
The starting point of the exhibition’s narrative is the thinking of Dimitris Pikionis on the “mysterious language of form,” while one of the initiative’s long-term objectives is to contribute to the public debate on establishing a Greek Museum of Architecture.
Architecture at the core of our philosophy
At EPIKYKLOS, we deeply believe in the value of architecture and its contribution to shaping our space, our daily living, and our culture. It’s a conviction we never cease to support with our actions.
Our participation as a Creative Partner in the exhibition “Architecture in Greece – The mysterious language of form” is the natural extension of that philosophy. It’s a conscious choice to support initiatives that highlight the work of architects, empower the conversation around architecture, and contribute to the maintenance and further development of our cultural heritage.
A significant initiative with institutional support
The event is organized by CityLab in collaboration with the Technical Chamber of Greece, with the assistance of the Hellenic Parliament and the support of leading institutional, academic and cultural bodies.
The exhibition has been curated by four distinguished academics: Manolis Korres, Dimitris Filippidis, Panagiotis Pagalos and Stavros Alifragis.
